APEC PANTAWID LIWANAG PROGRAM 4 - IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC

NONECO together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted the distribution of cash assistance or financial aid under the Association of Philippine Electric Cooperatives (APEC) Partylist Pantawid Liwanag Program led by NONECO General Manager, Atty. Danny L. Pondevilla, and employees in coordination with the Local Government of Brgy. Cervantes, Escalante City led by Brgy. Captain Nicholas Bernaje.

The event was also attended by the supportive Local Government Officials of the 1st District of Negros Occidental, Cong. Gerardo P. Valmayor, Calatrava Municipal Mayor Marilyn A. Era, Toboso Municipal Mayor Richard Jaojoco, and its fellow local and barangay government officials.

Said program is under the DSWD Assistance to Indigents in Crisis Situations (AICS) funded by the POWER BLOC REPRESENTATIVES, APEC PARTYLIST, and other Electric Cooperatives allied organizations. A total of 157 beneficiaries received food assistance and electric bill subsidy in the form of cash assistance.

This is a continuing program of electric cooperatives in support of the Association of Philippine Electric Cooperative Partylist to address the needs of our Member-Consumer-Owners in the marginalized sector of the community.
